A Naturally Biologic Philosophy

Organic Farming

The agriturismo operates as a certified organic farm where we cultivate lavender and grain. We avoid all synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers to keep the soil productive and the ecosystem healthy. By avoiding artificial intervention, we ensure the quality of our harvests and the long-term health of the land and its residents.

From Field to Guest

The grain grown on the property is harvested and served directly in the Tenuta restaurant. This ensures the quality and traceability of the ingredients used in our kitchen. Similarly, our lavender is used to create the oils and essences for our body-care products and wellness treatments. Every element is designed to provide a direct connection between the fields and the guest experience.

Solar Energy And Independence

Our Infinite Source of Energy

The solar panels located on the approach to the agriturismo are a functional part of our infrastructure. We use photovoltaic technology to meet a significant portion of our energy needs. This transition to renewable energy is a deliberate choice to reduce the agriturismo’s footprint while maintaining full efficiency and comfort for our guests.

Sustainable Infrastructure

We prioritize independence from external power sources by harnessing the region’s high exposure to sunlight. The installation is an integrated system designed to support the daily operations of the estate without compromising the local ecosystem. It is a practical application of our commitment to managing the property responsibly and with modern precision.

In the background, the iconic "Porta d’Arbia" sculpture—a large, arched stone doorway—stands atop a grassy green hill. The distant, hazy blue silhouette of Monte Amiata rises against a bright sky with soft white clouds.

Lakes that Reflect the Sky

Tenuta d’Arbia has two lakes that function as primary reservoirs for the estate. These lakes collect rainwater and runoff to ensure the property remains self-sufficient during the dry summer months. While they are a central part of the landscape, their deeper purpose is regenerative: supporting the Tenuta’s agricultural needs and maintaining the grounds without taxing external water sources.

A Cycle of Care

We manage water as a circular resource. The collected rainwater is used through an irrigation system to sustain our grain fields, lavender and gardens. This approach minimizes waste and protects the health of the soil. By utilizing natural runoff, we preserve the local water table and ensure the agriturismo operates with long-term environmental responsibility.
